The goal of my iPhone Geo-sender project will be that it is a wifi, group, file-sharing tool with accelerometer interactions. The use of this App will be that it can be used by a group for social networking interaction, i.e. sending latest movies from a house party, to latest songs to each other. The idea is to set up an ad-hoc network between iPhone’s, tethering them together to send files to each other. Then when a member has set up the network or joined it, see Figure 1.

The user will be able to navigate though group users using left/right actions, tilting using the iPhone’s inbuilt accelerometer, then when the sender finds the receiver he/she wants to send the file to from list view. He/She can then interact by using a throwing action as if the user were throwing the file to the receiver. After the initial throw action they will be given more options e.g. file type etc. With another throw action, the file will be “flinged” to the receiver. Other actions that could be incorporate are a quick left to right swing could be “send to all”. Other options are that if we have our list of members in the share group and they are in our contacts, the phone could be tilted and their photo from the contacts list could be used in selecting the recipient for files, Ala itunes album view as in Figure 2
